Introducing Pig – a Fun, Simple Dice Game for the iPhone

By Bobby Gill on October 28, 2013

It’s simple, it’s fun, it’s got dice and you play with friends, what more could you want? Friends come meet Blue Label Labs‘ latest app creation, say hello to Pig.

Pig is an iPhone spin on a classic party game. The game is easy:  you 2 roll dice and try to be the first to reach a total score of 101.  If you’ve ever shot dice with your friends, then you’ve probably already played Pig.

The rules are simple: in each round you have 2 dice and what you roll adds to your score. After each roll you can either pocket the points and hold, or test your luck and roll again.  Your turn ends when you decide to hold or if you roll snake eyes (you lose all your points) or a 7 (you lose all the points you won that turn).  The first player to get to 101 wins.

Pig integrates right into Apple’s Game Center so you can its simple to challenge your friends to a game, or if you are the subway you can just play against the computer. As your Pig skills sharpen you’ll earn achievements and climb the Pig leaderboard.

Sound easy?  Give it a try, you’ll soon come to know why it’s called Pig. And like the purest hickory smoked bacon, you’ll be hooked! You can download Pig for free from the iTunes App Store.
