Director, Client Solutions (i.e., Sales)

As a Director, Client Solutions you will be responsible for finding and nurturing relationships with potential clients–entrepreneurs, enterprises and agencies. This role will be both an outbound (pro-active) and inbound (reactive) sales effort. Outbound sales effort supported by existing and new marketing efforts (performed by other, pre-existing team members), email campaigns and other outbound techniques. Inbound sales will be supported by a pre-existing flow of inbound leads.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portion of the inbound pipeline of leads.
  • Determine other channels/methods to grow outbound sales pipeline.
  • Coordinate with Marketing team to oversee execution of co-developed marketing strategies.
  • Identify and attend industry events.
  • Assume Account Management duties post-sale
  • Will report to the VP of Client Solutions.

Requirements:

  • Established track record and out-performance in the sale of custom digital products or services working alongside globally distributed teams

Director, Marketing

As Director, Marketing you will be responsible for the inbound sourcing of leads/potential clients for the Sales Team to close. This will be Blue Label Labs first full-time Marketing hire reporting directly to VP of Client Solutions (who oversees the Sales, Marketing, Partnerships and Account Management functions). The role will require close coordination and collaboration with the Sales team and a multitude of existing third-party marketing vendors.

 

Responsibilities

These are in order of importance–as defined by the amount of time this role will spend on these activities (and hence the skillsets we’re expecting of potential candidates).

 

  • Website Management–overseeing the maintenance and improvement of our website (with our web design & dev agency partners).
  • Content Marketing–drafting, editing and publishing blog content, third-party outlet guest posting, landing pages, case studies, gated content, webinars, videos, podcasts/vlogs, newsletters and drip email campaigns (with the support of third-party writers).
  • Social Media Marketing–maintaining our social media presence; posting relevant content (with the support of our social media agency partner).
  • SEO & Link-Building–determining appropriate 3rd party blogs and news outlets to coordinate link-building campaigns, along with maintaining our homepage SEO health (with the support of our SEO agency partner).
  • Sponsorships & Online Reputation Management–managing 3rd party sponsorships and 250+ online profiles.
  • Events–identifying, tracking & attending events, speaking opportunities and hosting opportunities.
  • Awards–identifying, tracking and submitting entries to award granting organizations.
  • PR & Earned Media Opportunities–identifying and facilitating PR and other third-party media spot opportunities.

 

Desired Skills, Competencies & Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar Marketing role at a fast-growing agency.
  • Established track record and out-performance in marketing while working alongside distributed/remote teams.
  • Experience using project management tools (e.g., Asana); marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp & Hubspot); SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs & MOZ); web publishing platforms (e.g., WordPress) and social media sites & tools (e.g., LinkedIn & Buffer).

Compensation:

Product Manager

As a Product Manager, you’ll work closely with the client to help shape business objectives and understand user needs, while supporting Design and Engineering in a multitude of ways. Your role will ensure that we’re bringing forward the best possible product to our clients and their customers. This a growing role at Blue Label Labs so there will be opportunity to shape how we work together and ship incredible products.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the project leads to define the product vision based on business goals and customer insights.
  • Identify business strategy gaps and assumptions that need validation. Help clients define their product-market fit hypothesis. Collaborate during the Product Strategy phase to better understand users’ needs, helps define testing and validation strategies.
  • Create, drive, and manage the product roadmap. Have an ongoing evaluation of technical, functional (UX), and performance trade-offs—make scope recommendations to clients. Continuously educate our clients on how we work and get product to the market.
  • Track and curate new feature ideas. Work with client partners to define future product opportunities.
  • Support a cross-functional working environment and ensure all voices are heard. Challenge the team throughout design and development cycles. Build and maintain productive relationships with client stakeholders and internal project teams.
  • Lead requirements gathering and documentation for research, design, and engineering. Own the user and business needs to ensure we’re putting the best product into the world.
  • Play an active role in mitigating delivery impediments such as backend dependencies, 3rd party milestones, and other business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Lead and Project Management to assess backend requirements, priorities, and estimates.

 

Requirements:

  • You have 5+ years of product management experience, ideally at a digital product agency or consultancy
  • Experience shipping multiple concurrent products
  • Excellent communicator utilizing all modes of communications (narrative, visual, etc.) to ensure alignment on the product vision. Confident and effective communication with senior stakeholders
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in design, engineering, research, and content
  • Exceptional communication skills, including an unparalleled ability to read the room (and these days, a Zoom call)
  • A nuanced understanding of the differences working with startups and enterprise clients
  • Have an in-depth understanding of what each discipline needs for effective documentation
  • Comfortable defining new processes and assessing where to provide the most value on a project-by-project basis

Sr. Product Designer

Looking for a new home? Our design team is growing. To thrive in this role, you’ll have 5+ years of design experience under your belt, as well as a demonstrated understanding of the pace and variety of agency work. Your ability to balance form and function is as good as your ability to balance client and user needs, and you can adapt to new challenges like a pro. We’re an end-to-end digital product shop, so we’ll need your strategic thinking and collaborative design chops at every stage of the game, from research to wireframes to visual design.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with and support your team to design and build products that you feel genuinely proud of.
  • Apply your design thinking and execution skills throughout the entire product lifecycle, keeping a keen eye on opportunities to step in and step up.
  • Participate in design team reviews, sharing, and brainstorms.
  • Guide the design process throughout the project, as well as dig into wires alongside your team.
  • Drive client presentations and discussions of your team’s work.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of product design experience at a digital product agency or consultancy, with 3+ years in a senior role.
  • A portfolio that reflects your strengths in both UX and visual design skills. UX expertise, specifically in the implementation of user testing and research throughout the design process. Motion design and advanced prototyping is a plus.
  • Solid experience in prototyping and interaction design. Fluent in translating stakeholder goals, user research, and complex user flows into simple UIs.
  • Addicted to staying ahead of desktop and mobile best practices, developments and trends in web, mobile and iOS design.
  • Master communication skills, and the ability to deliver compelling design rationales in both client and internal contexts.

Software Engineer

We are still a small, agile team and as a Developer you will have the ability to influence the design and development of nearly everything that we build. You will have to be very comfortable with ownership and management of your projects and can balance coding and product management. As such, an ideal candidate will have the potential to develop into an engineering leadership and management role over time as we grow.

 

If you’ve got the following skills we’d like to talk to you:

  • Proven software engineering talents in Objective-C, Android and/or .NET.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of mobile app architecture.
  • Clear communication in code and in writing.
  • Knowledge of iPhone, Android and Windows Phone mobile development platforms.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering, or 4+ year relevant work experience
  • Minor in Business Administration and/or Marketing, or 2+ years professional experience in Business and/or Product Managment
  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
  • Proficiency in, at least, one modern object-oriented language such as Objective C, Java, C++ or C#

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Proven ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
  • Experience in communicating with customers, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs

Engineering Lead

We’re open to remote candidates and near-shore candidates in Central and South America.

We are still a small, agile team and as an Engineering Lead you will have the ability to influence the design and development of nearly everything that we build.
